Pumpkin season is here, and so is the season of the changing colors of the leaves. Located right outside of Vancouver is a cozy town called Abbotsford. From pumpkin patches to pumpkin spice lattes, here’s your guide to fall activities on your next getaway to Abbotsford, BC.

Be mesmerized by the Magical Pumpkin Garden at Taves Family Farm

Taves Family Farms boasts three generations of family farming, and it’s not fall in Abbotsford without them. Be absolutely mesmerized by the Magical Pumpkin Garden, where a river of blue pumpkins and gnomes are there to greet you. There’s plenty to do on the farm, from cuddling goats to sipping on cider slushies to getting lost in the corn maze – there’s family fun for everyone.

Take pics at the Forest Pumpkin Patch at Maan Farms

Maan Farms started as a small strawberry stand on the side of the road by Grandparents Maan and grew to what it is today. The Forest Pumpkin Patch at Maan Farms is truly one to behold and is the perfect backdrop for fall photos. There are two pumpkin houses, one orange and one white, pumpkin swings, and spooky creatures haunting one part of the patch. In addition, Maan Farms offers delicious seasonal treats like the Double Pumpkin Spice Cream, made with homemade pumpkins from their patch and topped with a ginger molasses cookie. Don’t forget to also try their Deep-Fried Mini Donuts, too!

Grab a fall pastry from Oldhand Coffee

Beloved by locals and visitors alike, Oldhand Coffee.

Married couple, Kristina and Johannes van Bommel van Vloten, have been pouring coffee, love, and hospitality into their quaint cafe, Oldhand Coffee – for nearly a decade. Though both have tailored their experiences in Victoria and Vancouver, they proudly hail from Abbotsford. The duo could be seen sketching plans for their new location in Langley at the cafe, set to open this fall. As they quote the Dutch, heel gezellig, or “we will make every detail of our time together perfect.” Each pastry is baked in-house, so drop by for a delicious pumpkin cake with cream cheese icing and a Salted Caramel Latte.
