As a small business owner, it’s important for me to save money. Now I know that’s an ‘out there’, and controversial statement, but it’s true. Look – I live on the edge, and I must be honest when it comes to issues like this (wow, I am pushing boundaries today). The cold hard truth: business owners like saving money where they can.

OK, deep breath. Now that your shock is abating, here’s something I’m super excited about as a business owner, which I know you’ll also love. Best Western Business Advantage is a great program specifically created for small and medium enterprise business owners. It’s designed to help me save money, while also giving my team members valuable perks. More honesty: I like when my team members get free stuff. It motivates us all, and creates positive energy that increases work quality. And since we’re in the business of being creative, that’s essential.

Here are some reasons I love the Best Western Business Advantage program:

Free money!

Here’s a great way to show your staff you care. Redeem your Rewards points for Best Western Travel Cards or a prepaid Mastercard that can be used towards business expenses. They’ll think you’re a mensch (that’s Yiddish for a good person).

Great rates!

BW Business Advantage members get special discounted rates. That’s 10 percent off with every stay. Savings like that add up quickly, allowing me to deploy capital elsewhere within my organization for things such as expanding my business, providing my crew with better benefits, or having the cash flow to build a giant tower made of chicken and waffles. It’s 75 feet tall now, and it’s glorious.

Be a VIP!

Every employee gets upgraded to BW Rewards Gold Status, which awards a 10 percent bonus per stay. That gets everyone free room nights quicker for personal use. Plus, there’s no blackout dates for cashing in the points, and every time they check into a Best Western hotel they have the potential for a free upgrade if available, and always receive a complimentary welcome gift. Yay snacks!! Also, between you and me, I automatically get Diamond status, which totally makes me feel like a player and helps me compensate for feeling of inadequacy from being picked last for the kickball team in second grade.

More points!

Business owners also earn an additional 10 percent in bonus points anytime someone registered in the program through my company stays at a Best Western for work. I accrue points quicker and can use them for business travel, or more likely to take my family away somewhere exotic. With more than 4,200 hotels in more than 100 countries, I can travel virtually anywhere I want. Added plus, my wife will think I am amazing. Ok, more honesty, that’s a lie. She’ll probably think I’m just ok. But hey, a boy can dream.

Other treats!

Special offers and discounts announced throughout the year. You never know what you’re going to get. One thing I do know what I’m going to get; a lot of grief at home for traveling even more because of all these savings and perks.

Overall, the program is a win for my people and business owners such as myself. Simply put, there’s no reason not be a member of the Best Western Business Advantage ProgramWell, there is one: You hate free money, discounts and perks.
