The Loved by Guests Awards process is broken up into three categories: Loved by Guests Top 100, Loved by Guest, and Loved by Guests Most Wanted.
For the competition, judges check into hotels as guests. This ensures authenticity as they experience the atmosphere, service and room quality as any guest would. With their strict judging guidelines, worldwide competition and crucial customer satisfaction ratings, Best Western is proud to have 43 locations win the Tier 1 award and hundreds in following tiers.
Each hotel’s customer ratings were also evaluated as part of the competition. Online reviews have become more influential than the star rating for potential customers considering a hotel. Hotels.com looked at more than 25 million guest reviews on their website, which played an important role in selecting the winners.
The Loved by Guests Top 100 award was presented to four of our locations. To qualify, these hotels received high ratings in specific categories, including “luxury,” “spa” and “boutique.” Best Western takes great effort styling each property with extra amenities to match the destination’s aesthetic and culture. Investing time and our attention-to-detail is why Best Western is applicable to many of these categories.

The Loved by Guests Most Wanted award was given to 43 Best Western properties worldwide. To win, hotels were required to have a 9.4 rating or higher, which is not an easy feat. Out of the hundreds of thousands of hotels worldwide, only 3,400 properties globally qualified. Having 43 of our own locations selected showed us that guests truly appreciate the effort from each Best Western property to provide a comfortable and memorable experience.
