Go into town

Get outside
The only natural gypsum show cave in the U.S. and one of the largest in the world, the Alabaster Caverns State Park offers guided tours and wild caving to see this wonder in person. The four caves maintained for wild caving are by permits only. Take part in this one-of-a-kind experience.
Comprised of salt from an ocean that once covered Oklahoma in prehistoric times, the Great Salt Plains Salt Park offers more than what meets the eye. Visitors can bike on designated trails, dive into the Great Salt Plains Lake, enjoy the scenery on one of the nature trails or visit the selenite crystal dig area for hourglass-shaped crystals– the only place in the world where you can find these.
The first and largest state park in Oklahoma, Lake Murray State Park provides a diverse terrain filled with every outdoor experience. Hike along one of its many trails and historic sites, paddle your Kayak along Lake Murray, or have a game of golf at the park’s 18-hole golf course. You can’t go wrong with a visit to Lake Murray State Park.
