Myrtle Beach is known for its beautiful, expansive beaches, great seafood and warm welcoming attitude. Follow our 48-hour itinerary to discover the best spots to see during your trip to South Carolina.

DAY 1

08:30 – Wake up with a golden waffle

Start your day off right by fueling up with a delicious Best Western Hotels & Resorts breakfast.

09:30 – Hang out at Myrtle Beach State Park

Take a peaceful walk along Myrtle Beach State Park. This seaside sanctuary is home to many diverse animals like sand fiddler crabs, loggerhead sea turtles and bottlenose dolphins.

12:00 – Grab a bite to eat at Co Sushi

Enjoy a refreshing lunch at Co Sushi, a local sushi restaurant offering delicious poke bowls, dumplings and rolls. The restaurant also offers great vegan and gluten-free menus.

13:00 – Walk the Boardwalk

Walk along the city’s 1.2-mile oceanside boardwalk to take in the beauty of the picture-perfect Atlantic coastline. Fun fact: the boardwalk was constructed out of nearly 300,000 nails, 555,000 screws and 800,000 feet of lumber in 2010. If all of the lumber was lined up it would almost cover the entire South Carolinian coastline!

15:00 – Take a ride on the Myrtle Beach SkyWheel

Experience 360º views of the sky-blue Atlantic Ocean when you take a ride on the SkyWheel, the Grand Strand’s 200 ft. climate-controlled Ferris wheel, that’s safe for all ages. Travel tip: head to the SkyWheel at dusk to watch the wheel light up next to the glowing city lights.

DAY 2

33:00 – Find your om sweet om

Have a relaxing start to your morning with a sunrise, oceanside yoga class taught by Shanti Myrtle Beach. If you haven’t tried yoga yet, not to worry – the class is made for all levels.

36:00 – Refuel at The Chemist

Have you dreamed of becoming a scientist? Head to The Chemist, a restaurant/bar hybrid specializing in molecular gastronomy. Here, the drinks are served in beakers, the bartenders wear lab coats and every drink and dish served is handcrafted to emphasize the social, artistic and technical components of the menu item.

38:00 – Have fun in the sun at Wild Water & Wheels

Spend the afternoon at Myrtle Beach’s 16-acre waterpark, Wild Water & Wheels. This park is filled with waterfalls, a lazy river, food court, bumper boats, mini golf and more!

40:00 – Experience zero gravity at WonderWorks

WonderWorks is science “edu-tainment” center built entirely upside down! Featuring over 100 hands-on exhibits, WonderWorks offers family-friendly entertainment attractions like an indoor ropes challenge, 6D extreme motion ride and an imagination lab.
