Grab Indian food from a farm, Maan Farms in Abbotsford, BC

Butter Chicken Naan Tacos from Maan Farms.

Maan Farms started in 1977 by Grandpa and Grandma Maan and their three children. First, with producing berry crops, then, this eventually evolved into a roadside stand, and finally, over time, the sprawling, fun, farm is what it is today. Family-owned Maan Farms still upholds its traditional Indian fare, and you can order Butter Chicken Naan Tacos off the menu, as well as Veggie Samosas. Taste these exotic flavors while wandering the Forest Pumpkin Patch.

Make a stop on Surrey’s Culinary Spice Trail at Afghan Kitchen South Surrey

Afghan Kitchen brings authentic flavors to its customers.

Afghan Kitchen South Surrey boasts multiple accolades for bringing the authentic flavors of Afghanistan to British Columbia. The family-owned restaurant started in South Surrey and is soon  expanding into Vancouver. It’s no surprise that each dish is uses mum’s recipes. While the juicy Mantu Dumplings or mouth-watering Chicken Kebabs may steal your palate, it’s Mum’s Secret Cake that will steal your heart. The scrumptious sponge cake will simply leave you wanting more after eating every morsel.

Get Indo-Chinese momos at the Momo Factory in Surrey Delta

Famous momos from the Momo Factory.

The Momo Factory is so notoriously delicious due to their talented chef, Chef Shankar, that they’ve gained attention from the Prime Minister as well as the King of Nepal. It’s here, at the Momo Factory, where you can find the most delicious and famous momos, or dumplings. Choose between chicken, paneer, mushroom, prawn, goat, vegetarian, and between fried and steamed for a medley of delicious flavors stuffed into a snug casing. You also choose your own sauces, with favorites including Honey Chili Garlic or Szechuan, and receive 10 momos per platter.

Kayak, paddleboard, or find seashells on the shoreline of Crescent Beach during sunset

The shores of Crescent Beach.

If you’re looking for a tranquil place to enjoy the sunset, head to the shores of Crescent Beach. The beach was founded in 1909, and today is enjoyed by locals and visitors alike. You can access to beach at Beecher Street, Sullivan Street, and Target Street. Kayaking and paddleboarding are popular water activities, but if you want to play in the sand and search for seashells, that’s also encouraged, too. Either way, the sunset is a magnificent sight to see.

Climb a Treehouse in Redwood Park

The Redwood Park treehouse.

Redwood Park truly is a magical place. Not only is it a forest that boasts a collection of different types of trees from a variety of places, but there’s also a grove of Sierra Redwoods, the tallest trees in the world, to admire in astonishment at its heights. As you observe the towering trees, you’ll wander upon one of the 5km of natural trails and find a playful treehouse. You can climb up the treehouse stairs to get a bird’s eye view of the vastness of Mother Nature.
