One of the best ways to see this great city is on your own two feet or by the famous Chicago “L” train. No matter how you travel through the Windy City, be sure to GO see these landmarks.

  • Head down the Chicago Riverwalk to get a great view of the city’s “second lakefront” and a glance at a variety of beautiful parks, river boats and restaurants. This walk will take you right to Navy Pier, a Chicago icon. Built in 1916, the 3,300-foot pier extends over Lake Michigan and offers a variety of attractions like funhouse mazes and even a Ferris wheel.
  • See Sue, the world’s largest Tyrannosaurus Rex and other prehistoric marvels at the Field Museum of Natural History, one of the largest natural history museums in the world. After your visit, be sure to check out the dozens of other museums in Chicago like the Adler Planetarium, Art Institute of Chicago and Museum of Contemporary Art.
  • Float 103 stories above ground at the Willis Tower Skydeck, a glass observation box that is just 4.5 inches thick! Formerly known as the Sears Tower, this 110-story skyscraper held the title of the tallest building in the world from 1974 to 1997.

  • Take a picture next to “The Bean.” This icon, created by artist Sir Anish Kapoor, is officially named “Cloud Gate.” The Bean is located in Millennium Park and is very popular during many events and festivals hosted near the park each year, including Lollapalooza.
