DAY 1

09:00 – Explore the beauty of Temple Square

Salt Lake City’s historic Temple Square offers visitors expansive gardens, beautiful architecture and a unique look at the history and culture of the city. While the square’s 35 acres may seem daunting at first, visitors find a variety of self-guided tours you can take to see all of the best sights.

12:00 – Enjoy lunch at The Rose Establishment

This bakery and café offers delicious lunchtime options like smashed avocado tartine, cauliflower sandwiches and curried chickpea bowls. While you’re there, be sure to try out The Rose’s eclectic drink menu that includes their legendary hojicha lattes and spiced cranberry hibiscus soda.

13:00 – Head to Antelope Island State Park

The Great Salt Lake, located 15 miles outside of the city, is the largest saltwater lake in the Western Hemisphere, making it no wonder how Salt Lake City got its name. Next to the lake is Antelope Island State Park where you can find amazing views of Utah’s diverse wildlife, including herds of buffalo.

16:00 – Take a tour of Utah Olympic Park

Did you know Salt Lake City was home to the 2002 Winter Olympics? Enjoy a piece of history when you tour the same tracks and sites Olympians trained on at Utah Olympic Park. If you’re feeling adventurous, the park is open to tourists and athletes alike who are looking to try out bobsledding, tubing and even cosmic curling.

18:00 – Dinner at Pago

Located in Salt Lake City’s trendy 9th and 9th neighborhood, Pago offers farm-to-table meals and sources all of their ingredients from local Utah farms. All of their dishes are created out of seasonal ingredients, making no visit the same.

DAY 2

32:00 – Breakfast at Best Western

34:00 – Hike Mill Creek Canyon

36:00 – Lunch at Sweet Lake

Biscuits and limeade make for a great pair at this Salt Lake staple. Sweet Lake, a local favorite, has a small but mighty menu of biscuit sandwiches, limeade, freshly made cocktails and locally brewed craft beer.

38:00 – Shop at City Creek Center

Head to downtown Salt Lake to find City Creek Center, a hub for upscale open-air shopping, dining and entertainment.

42:00 – Dinner at Takashi

Experience a diverse range of modern Japanese dishes at Takashi. After finding creative inspiration through music, head chef and owner Takashi Gibo created a melt-in-your-mouth menu that serves “surf, turf and earth” dishes. If you plan on enjoying dinner at this local hot spot, arrive early as the wait can easily exceed an hour and the restaurant does not accept small-group reservations.

45:00 – Relax at the Hotel
